The Inter School Premier league (ISPL) is BIHAR’s biggest talent hunt for promotion of grass root sports. An initiative of the SWARG NGO, the ISPL, as it’s popularly known, offers the ultimate platform for teenager youngsters to participate.
Here we would also like to bring your kind notice that we have been aiming to form cricket teams comprising those talented cricket players who have not been able to make it big or have been left out from the state/city or national squads.
It is for this purpose that we intend to organize an inter-school cricket tournament or what we call it an Inter-School premier league – CRICKET in which by at least 48 schools would be participating. All the schools which are affiliated to CBSE, ICSE or Bihar Board are eligible to participate in the above proposed league. The league in will be a platform for schools across the state to participate with their best 16 players in 27 days competitive yet sporty cricketing extravaganza. This will become a platform for showcasing as well as nurturing the talent and skills of promising cricketing talent in Bihar.

A fair and transparent opportunity for youngsters:
The ISPL takes utmost care to motivate the young aspirants to try and fulfill their cricket dreams. An esteemed panel of Mentors, Motivators, Skill Development and Nutrition specialists will conduct sessions at the pre match camps for all the registered probable for their overall development and motivation before the matches are conducted. Experienced coaches and cricket experts from the BCA and BCCI would be on the selection panels to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.

Project Outline
• Inter School Premier League will be held between (Date will be announced later)
• 48 teams from whole Bihar will be chosen from application received from Schools.
• Inter School Premier League will consist of 64 matches
• Inter School Premier League will be affiliated to BCA and BCCI
• All matches will be of 20 overs..
• Inter School Premier League will be umpired by the panel umpires of BCCI
• All day matches will be played with 5 ounces Red Ball whereas night matches will be played with 5 ounces White Balls as per BCCI norms
• All matches will be played in white jersey as per BCCI norms.
Role of Bihar Cricket Association
For all of the above we need guidance and support of Bihar Cricket Association in all aspects. The tournament will be affiliated to BCA and BCCI so it will under the auspices of Bihar Cricket Association. Bihar Cricket Association will be helping us in organising the tournament. BCA will help us to get all the umpires and other officials needed to conduct the tournament. BCA will be the monitoring body to conduct all matches fairly and transparently.
Rules & Regulations-
1. School premier League Federation competition will be played at district level / zonal level, state level on round robin league basis. The selected team from the competition will be participated in the next level competition.
2. All participating players in the competition must be studied in any affiliated school.
3. The competition will be played under the rules of BCA and BCCI
4. The minimum number of 16 teams in the boys category and the minimum number of 16 teams in the girls category must be reported at the playing venue of district / zone / whichever is fixed.
5. If less than 16 teams of boys category and less than 16 teams in the girls category are reported at the playing venue of District/Zone level, two or more District / Zone can be merged.
6. More than 16 teams can participate at the district / zone level.
7. 1500 rupees (one thousand five hundred rupees) is fixed for registration fees for each candidate and 100 rupees (one hundred rupees) for an I Card and Certificate and Competition Fee will be payable separately per player and is payable only once.
8. All teams and players should spend for the travel by themselves.
9. Snacks/breakfast and drinks/glucose will be provided separately to each candidate at the venue of the tournament.
10. In case of any medical emergency, first aid will be provided by the management.
11. In order to participate in the competition, it is mandatory for all the players to bring the original copy of the following required documents at the playing venue.
a) Aadhar Card/ Passport
b) Birth Certificate of City Panchayat/ Municipality
c) Verified original copy of all the school documents.
INJURY PREVENTION UNITS OF ISPL Cricket–
Cricket is one of the most popular sports played more than 60 Countries. Although cricket is not a contact sport, injuries can and do occur, often due to overuse. Cricket is often played in the heat, so players and spectators need to be protected from dehydration, heat stress and sun damage.
Common injuries:
The most common types of injuries suffered through cricket are strains, sprains, fractures, bruising and open wounds. Many of these injuries affect the upper body, particularly the hands and fingers.
Injuries to the face, finger and hand from a cricket ball are the most common types of hospital-treated injuries, followed by falls.
Bowlers are inclined to suffer overuse injuries, such as back and shoulder injuries.
Preventing Injury:
To prevent injury, you should:
• Be prepared.
• Wear the right gear.
• Keep the playing environment safe
• Know yourself and the sport.

• Warm up and stretch before playing.
• Cool down and stretch after playing.

• Wear shoes designed for cricket.
